Today's makeup look is full on Summer evening glam, one that makes you look like a beautiful Mermaid :) Since getting the Balmsai palette (review) I have been drawn to the shade Big Kahuna which is a gorgeous aqua blue with golden sheen, perfect for the mermaid-esque look. So one afternoon I sat down at my vanity and let the little girl in me play the mermaid :)
Together with the shades from Balmsai palette I used Iridescent Shell eyeshadow from Sephora which has a gorgeous duo-chrome qualities and depending on the light it looks silver, lilac or light green, it's beautiful, unfortunately the picture doesn't do its justice.
Here's a step by step 'tutorial' on how I achieved my eye makeup look.
And here are the finished eyes, the teal eyeliner is beautiful but sadly doesn't last well on my waterline, but to be honest most of the eye pencil I've tried don't stay put, even the waterproof ones.
Primer: Dr Brandt Pores No More
Foundation: L'Oreal Infallible 24H Matte in Natural Rose (review)
Concealer: Pixi Correction Concentrate Concealer (review)
Setting powder, bronzer: BarryM Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit.
Highlighter: MUA Undress Your Skin Illuminating Liquid Glow in Oyster, this product looks beautiful on the skin, you can apply it quite heavily for a high shine or blend it out well for a subtle glow, it is comparable to the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector but it has bigger particles of shimmer so it's not exact dupe but way much cheaper than the Becca liquid highlighter, so definitely worth trying.
Blush: Romantic Rose by Sephora, beautiful pink-y peach shade.
I wanted my lips to match the peachy cheeks, so used the Wet n' Wild lipstick in Just Peachy which, unfortunately, doesn't look very flattering on my lips on its own so I added on top Mac Lipglass in Golden Blanket to soften the colour of the lipstick and add a bit of shine and subtle golden sparkle to keep the mermaid theme.
And that's the finished look :)
Hope you like this makeup look, let me know what you think of it! I really enjoyed creating and wearing it and will definitely do it again as it made me feel so glamorous :)
