Friday makeup look #11 My 'go to' makeup look

After sharing with you many dramatic or fun makeup looks, today I decided to show you my 'go to' look which I've been wearing for the last few weeks nearly every day when I was going for the 'more polished' look. It's not my everyday look because it does require more than 10 minutes and on weekdays I rarely have more than that to do my makeup but if I have the time that's what I'm going for. Simple yet elegant neutral eye look which can be paired with any lipstick and kept subtle for a day look or made a bit more glamorous for the evening.

For this look I used my Stila palette which has been my favourite in the last few weeks and I'm absolutely loving shade Kitten for this makeup look but it can be achieved with any neutral palette as it's very basic and simple.

Stila Eyes are the Windows palette

The "secret" to this look is to use matte brown shades in the crease and sparkly light shade all over the lid, simple!
Puppy - in the crease and above as a transitional shade.
Espresso - to define the outer corner and crease.
Kitten - all over the lid and inner corner.
On my lower lid I lined my lashes with Espresso and blended it with Puppy.
Under my brows I placed the matte cream shade for a subtle highlight.
For this look I added a black eyeliner and false lashes but for a day look I skip that and line my lashes with Espresso and apply mascara.
I also always line my waterline with nude pencil to make my eyes look a bit bigger and more awake.

Face:
Primer - L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer
Foundation - L'Oreal Infallible 24H Matte in Natural Rose (review)
Under eye corrector - Pixi Correction Concentrate Concealer
Under eye highlight - L'Oreal Lumi Magique in Light
Powder - L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Powder in Light
Bronzer/Contour - BarryM Contour Kit
Blush - Inglot #82, dusty pink, stay tuned for a review of my Inglot palettes :)

What I like the most about this eye makeup look is, that it goes with any lipstick so it's so easy to change it slightly and make it more appropriate for any occasion just by switching the colour on my lips.
I decided to show you three options which I've been enjoying wearing lately.

On my lips Wet n Wild Mega Last Matte Lip Cover in Smokin' Hot Pink.

On my lips Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Marvelous Mauve.

On my lips Essence lip liner in In the Nude and Longlasting Lipstick in Barely There.

Which lipstick option you like the best? What is your 'go to' makeup look?

PS. Wishing you all a wonderful, relaxed Easter break with lots of sunshine and chocolate eggs :) x

  5. Smokin' Hot Pink is STUNNING! I have been wearing so much nude lips for the past few months that I have forgotten how pretty bold lips are. You look seriously lovely with all 3 lip shades, Dagmara!

  12. This is a gorgeous day time look, btw I love the hair! :) the shades look so pretty together. I think the Hot pink shade in the evening and the essence nude shade during the day :) I don't think I could pull off a bold lip during the day, it always looks a bit too much on me so I tend to play safe with neutrals. Hope you and your family have a lovely easter! xx
