Friday makeup look #9 Purple smokey eyes using Iconic Pro 1 palette

Purple smoke-y eyes makeup look

Hello!
I can't believe it's another Friday, the time is absolutely flying! Anyway I'm here to share with you yet one more makeup look :)
In the last couple of weeks I've been using a lot the two new Iconic Pro 1 & 2 palettes by Makeup Revolution and while I was trying to create different looks I was kind of drawn to two shades and recreated the same makeup look a few times.
Today I'm also using the same shades but the version is smoke-y, more evening appropriate. If you own the Lorac Pro 1 palette you can probably recreate a very similar version of this look.
So let me show you the shades I chose for my eye makeup.

Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 1 palette
*Addicted is a gorgeous, black based, deep purple shade, I applied it on my inner and outer 1/3 of my eye lid connecting the parts lightly in the crease. I also smudged it under my lower lash line. You don't need any base for this eyeshadow to show up with desired intensity, it's beautifully pigmented.
*In the centre of my lid I applied Breathe-beautiful golden champagne shade, on top of the Makeup Revolution Aqua Seal Liquid Eye Primer to intensify the colour. I also added it in the inner corners of my eyes.
*Using shade Must I buffed all the edges of Addicted and blended it in to the crease.
*On my brow bone I used the shade Ghost to add a natural highlight. I love this eyeshadow for this as it's not just a flat matte white shade but has a very subtle sheen to it.
*To finish the eye makeup off I lined my lashes and my waterline with Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen in Deep Plum. This pencil is seriously the softest, smoothest I've ever tried, it feels like liquid liner in a pencil form, so incredibly easy to apply and when it sets, it stays till I remove it with my micellar water. The only downside for me is that because it's so soft is hard to apply a very thin line but apart from that it's excellent.
*Applied a coat of Benefit RollerLash mascara and my Red Cherry false lashes.
*For my brows, as usual, I used the Rimmel Eye Brow pencil in Dark Brown and L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper in Medium/Dark.

For my base I used:
Primer - Benefit Porefessional
Foundation - Revlon Colour Stay in Sand Beige
Concealer - to conceal my under eye dark circles I used my new favourite Pixi Correction Concentrate Concealer (review), for any skin imperfection - Seventeen Phwoar Paint in Medium and to highlight the centre of my face I applied the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Highlighting Concealer in Light.
Powder - L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Powder in Light
Bronzer - Rimmel Natural Bronzer in Sun Bronze
Setting Spray - Makeup Revolution Oil Control Fixing Spray (review)

Cheeks:
Blush - So Susan Universal Blush, it's a beautiful pink with mauve undertones and light sheen.
Highlighter - Makeup Revolution Radiant Light in Breathe, I'm obsessed with it, such a gorgeous, subtle highlighter!

Lips:
Lipliner - Essence Lip Liner in 06 Satin Mauve
Lipstick - Essence Longlasting Lipstick in 06 Barely There, the review of my Essence lip pruducts is coming your way next week.

And that is the finished look :)

Let me know, in the comments below, what you think of this makeup look.
If you have the Iconic Pro 1 or the Lorac Pro 1 palette which combinations of shades are your favourites?

  4. Haha, love that last pose! Super awesome! :)

Do you find ghost is too transparent a shade? IE, do you need to add a base to make it appear more?

  5. What a gorgeous look. Just discovered your blog and you're very talented at applying eyeshadows! And the rest of your makeup obviously, but your eyes stand out every time. Love this look with the dark crease shade against the brightness of Breathe in the centre. Hello from a new fan!

  7. Haha! OMG, taking selfies is the worst part of this kind of posts, real struggle, lol!
That white shade is perfect to subtly highlight the brow bone or inner corner but to make it stand out on the lid I would probably use a base like white pencil :) x

  8. Thank you so much Pam for being one of my most supportive followers!
Yey for false lashes! Don't get frustrated if it won't work the first time round, it took me a good number of trials to be comfortable with them but now, when I'm doing an evening makeup I can't imagine not to wear them as they make the eyes look so much more glamorous :) x

  23. Another beautiful look! I think the Makeup Revolution products look amazing but I still want to get the first Lorac Palette. The second one is so amazing that I can't imagine the mattes being as good. The pixi eye liner is lovely too! x

  24. Even though the MR palettes are really good, especially for the price, I still want the original, haha! I just want to experience the Lorac eyeshadows :) I've heard many people saying that the eyeshadows in the Lorac Pro 1 are so soft they overblend and look muddy on the lids, so I'm a bit hesitant to order it but one day probably I will give in ;) x

    1. I have the second pro palette and it's amazing. The eyeshadows are the best, on par with urban decay etc. They are soft but I never find that they look muddy, the shades blend together really well. Some of the MR eyeshadows I've tried do that though, they can look muddy if I try and blend one shadow in to another. Tempalia gave the first lorac palette a really good review, hence why I want it :) x

  25. I absolutely love your makeup looks! I've only now started using more eyeshadow so seeing you use different colours combined really helps me to be more creative with my eye makeup too :). You look gorgeous! Xx
