A while ago I read on a couple of beauty blogs about the Essence lip liners and how good they are, especially for the price, so seeing they're cheap as chips I decided to get them. In UK Essence products are now stocked in Wilkinson shops which isn't as handy as it was in Boots or Superdrug so I ordered some of their products online.
I got three lipsticks in shades that seemed nice for Spring and all the lip liners they had in stock.
The packaging of the Long Lasting lipsticks is simple black plastic but feels sturdy and looks nice with coloured band that corresponds with the shade of the lipstick. There is also the satisfying 'click' when closing, the bullet has embossed 'e' letter which looks pretty fancy :) The lipsticks have a slightly plastic-y scent but nothing too offensive, they feel very comfortable on the lips and rather moisturising. They're quite pigmented but need 2, 3 layers for full opacity on the lips, they leave a glossy finish. Even though they're named as Long Lasting, they don't last long on my lips, I'd say 2-3 hours and are easily transferable. I also noticed they accentuate dry skin. In overall they're not the best lipsticks but for the price ( £2.30) I think it's a good way to experiment with different colours.
06 Barely There is a nice dusky pink nude with a bit of brown undertones.
13 Love Me - beautiful, Spring-y pink, this one applies a bit patchy so needs definitely a few coats to look good on the lips.
01 Coral Calling is a coral-y pink, perfect for warmer months.

Essence lip liners ( £1 each) were so much hyped that I had big expectations and let me tell you, they didn't disappoint. They're very creamy, very well pigmented and they apply without dragging the skin. Even though they're matte in finish they don't feel drying on the lips. They last good 4 hours on the lips even with the occasional cup of coffee, don't bleed and definitely extend the wear time of the lipstick if used underneath. I'm really loving them and for the price you had to try them. I have couple of lip liners from Max Factor and Maybelline and the Essence ones are better than the Maybelline and as good as the Max Factor ones but much cheaper.
11 In the Nude is a beige nude, perfect as a base for any nude lipstick.
07 Cute Pink - bright pink.
06 Satin Mauve - mauve pink, love this on its own.
08 Red Blush - deep red.
05 Soft Berry - berry with mauve undertones.

Have you tried lip products from Essence? Which other products from the brand are worth trying?
Let me know what you think :)
PS. Quick personal update:
Currently both of my boys are with chicken pox and I'm coming down with a throat infection so there won't be Friday makeup post as doing a fancy makeup is the last thing on my mind right now, in fact for the last few days I've been rocking no makeup at all. I will try to post something instead so stay tuned for that :)
Also on Saturday, if everyone recovers by that time, we'll be traveling to Poland to visit my family so I will be taking a week off blogging to spend quality time with my mum and brother. I might still check my social media and comment on your blogs because I'm sure I can't disconnect myself completely :) So, hopefully, I will talk to you on Friday and then I will be back on Monday the 30th, possibly with a cheeky beauty haul :)
