Drugstore beauty haul

Hello!
I don't do very often haul posts here, on Mummy's Beauty Corner, not that I don't buy things, exactly the opposite but I'm just too impatient to wait with sharing with you my thoughts on products. If I buy something I start testing it straight away, many times even without taking the pictures first, I know, what a beauty blogger I am, haha. If the item is not a skincare product I test it for a week or so and I'm ready to post a review if I want to. But in the last couple of weeks I bought some things that I haven't had the chance to review it yet or tested properly so here we are with a little drugstore haul :)

I love using masks, I do it on weekly basis and while I have a few I kind of needed some more, mostly something hydrating as my skin has been in a real need of some extra hydration lately. My local Boots is a small one so there isn't too many brands to choose from but while searching the skincare isles for new masks I spotted the Quick Fix brand which I never tried before and I took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer and got three of their masks: Brightening Peel Mask, Purifying Charcoal Mask and Mega Moisture Mask. They all sound really good and contain good ingredients so I'm excited to start using them regularly and while I'm not expecting miracles from mask costing £4.99 I might be pleasantly surprised. Have you tried any Quick Fix masks? What was your experience?

After reading a few positive reviews about the Essence lip liners I decided to try them for myself, especially as they're only £1 each! And I can confirm that they're fantastic and I will review them very soon on my blog. Together with the lip liners I decided to try the Essence Long Lasting Lipsticks, I got three shades that are perfect for upcoming Spring and Summer, these are Barely There, Coral Calling and Love Me. I quite like them and I will definitely tell you more about them soon :)

Talking about lipsticks I also picked up the Rimmel by Kate matte lipstick #101 which is this bright pink shade, again, great for warmer weather.

While walking the isles of Boots I also noticed the new Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude foundation which I was very curious about since I've heard reviews stating it's a dupe for the YSL Ink Fusion foundation so I picked it up in the shade 10 Ivory. I will definitely review it on my blog so if you're interested what I think about it stay tuned for that.

I also ordered through Amazon the Wet&Wild Comfort Zone palette and I can tell you straight away that I am blown away by the quality of these eyeshadows. I wanted to try Wet&Wild palettes for a long time and as you can not get them easily in UK I waited patiently for a good deal and one day I found them for less than £10 including delivery and I ordered it straight away. It took just over a week for it to arrive from US so it was a great service and now I'm totally hooked and want more Wet&Wild eyeshadows :)

When ordering the Pixi Correction Concentrate Concealer, which I already reviewed, I picked up the Endless Silky Eye Pen in Deep Plum because I needed a purple eye liner for a makeup look I wanted to create and I'm absolutely amazed how great, soft and pigmented this pencil is. It applies so softly like a gel eye liner but it's super creamy like a pencil and when it's on it doesn't budge. I'm so glad I took the risk to order this as it's a fantastic quality and I will definitely be getting other shades.

Last but not least I decided it's time to put away my dark nail polishes and with the Spring just around the corner, start reaching for some pretty pastel shades for my nails. Ignoring the fact that I have many Spring/Summer appropriate nail polishes in my stash I picked up some new. Three were from Essence, again, to test the formula and explore the brand and two from the much loved by me range from Maybelline Super Stay Gel Nail. I'm planning some Spring-ready nails post soon so I will share with you all the swatches and in the meantime you can follow me on Istagram to see pictures of my weekly manicures :)

What have you bought recently? Have you tried any of the products I got? Share with me your experience and comment in the section below :)

Great haul! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the face masks as I've nearly bought them a few times. I've seen Kathleen Lights do a makeup look using the wet and wild palette and its looks so pigmented and gorgeous! Where did you pick up the Essence lip pencils Ive been on the hunt for the berry one for a while but I haven't seen the brand in any shops :/ xo

  17. Tried to get some Essence lip liners last week but unfortunately they were sold out on the stand I went to. They only had a couple shades and I didn't like them. Such a shame as I've heard they are great, especially for the price. :) Will continue to hunt them down. Really intrigued about the Pixi concealer and would also love to try the Wet N Wild palette. xx

  20. Essence only stock in UK in Wilko shops, you can order online, if you don't have one close to where you live, just like I did :) The Wet n Wild palette is amazing! x

  21. I will definitely post a review on this foundation, just need to try a few more days to form an honest opinion :) x

  22. Will definitely post reviews on them but I can already tell you that the Essence lip liners are brilliant :) x

  23. I ordered the lip liners online as the only Wilko shop isn't very close to where we live, they are really fantastic, especially considering they're only £1each! When I swatched the Wet n Wild palette I was blown away by the creaminess and pigmentation of the eyeshadows, they feel like high end ones :) Let me know if you test the Pixi corrector :) x

  24. They are great but the lip liners are even better :) x

  28. Lol I know what you mean there seems to be something new everyday I just MUST have - now all I need is an endless supply of money so I can buy it all haha! x x

  29. I don't really need a new foundation (I've got 4) but I've wanting to try Maybelline's new foundation mainly for your reason of purchase, so I'll be interested to see what you make of it :) And the nail polishes look gorgeous, I was trying to purchase some Maybelline ones from boots online but for some reason they wouldn't add to my basket :S, just as well I'll be making a trip today haha

  37. This post makes me want to go shopping! lol W&W definitely has amazing shadows for the price, most of them are so creamy and pigmented! Those liners sound great, and such a bargain, I'll try to hunt those down to try them!

  39. I have the Wet n Wild palette, like you from Amazon, and like you have wanted to try them for so long. Very impressed. I also have the Maybelline foundation. Hmmm. Yes, it's nice, yes, it's affordable, but it is NOT YSL Fusion Ink. A dupe? Not so sure. I'd identify them in a blind test without a doubt. YSL's product is very much better. If you were wanting your pricey Fusion Ink to last you, then I think Maybelline's product would carry you through a work or home day, but YSL wins hands down for quality. Loving the look of those lip liners and lipsticks. Must look out for those. I'll look forward to your reviews. x

  40. What a lovely haul! I'd be really interested to see what you make of that Maybelline foundation. I keep eyeing it up in Boots! x

  45. Oh, it's a shame! On my nails it lasted three days without chipping and that's as good as my Essie nail polishes. x

  46. The lip liners are great, especially for the price! After trying my first Wet&Wild palette I definitely want more :)

  47. Thanks! I'm testing it right now and still don't know it if I like it :(

  48. I was intrigued by the Maybelline foundation after hearing it's very similar to the YSL one which I wanted to try when it was first released but never get around to do it. I can't say I'm loving the Maybelline offering though so I'm kind of glad I never splurged on the expensive version, but they might be totally different, like you said. Thank you for your comment, Cathy!

I recently tried a sample of the Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude foundation but the shade was way too dark for me. Otherwise my first impression about it was great! Can't wait for the review :)x
