Welcome back to my corner of the internet :) Hope you're all well!
I had a great time in Poland visiting my family, boys recovered from chicken pox just on time and enjoyed the trip as well. Of course the traveling wouldn't be complete without a bit of shopping, so I'm coming today to you with a haul post :)
Inglot shop was the one I knew I had to visit as I was desperate to get some of their eyeshadows. Inglot is a Polish brand created over 30 years ago and has started the worldwide expansion in 2006. I remember using their eyeshadows and nail polishes when I first started wearing makeup long time ago but I haven't used their products in ages. The quality of Inglot makeup has been improving over the years and nowadays it's a brand used and loved by many makeup artists all over the world.
Inglot's famous Freedom System lets you create a palette to suit your needs. They have palettes of different sizes and designs to house eyeshadows, powders, blushes or lip products.
If you've been reading my blog for a while you know that eyeshadows are my biggest makeup obsession so it's not a surprise that I bought a few of them :)
On my first visit to Inglot shop I chose the 10 round pans eyeshadow palette and bought 10 eyeshadows. I can't tell you how much fun that was! There were so many eyeshadows in different colours and finishes and it was really hard to narrow it down to 10. Fortunately the sale assistant was a very patient person and let me swatch all the beauties to my heart content :)
Just before coming back to UK I decided to visit the Inglot shop once again and this time I picked up the 5 square pans palette as I was advised by another lovely lady that the round eyeshadows are being discontinued, so many of the shades are not available in that size anymore. I settled on 5 gorgeous eyeshadows and decided to pick a couple of blushes as well. I also picked up some bits for my beauty box swap-buddy and I hope she'll love them.
I did get a bit crazy but considering Inglot products are cheaper in Poland I had to take the advantage and also my birthday is just next week so I had a good excuse for a bit of splurge :)
You can check/buy Inglot products online here.
Walking around a shopping centre I saw Sephora shop which was a big surprise as in the city where I lived we never had that shop before. So obviously I couldn't ignore it and had to go inside. It was a small shop and there weren't all the brands available but I decided to get some things from the Sephora range as I never tried any of them.
Firstly, I picked the Cream Lip Stain in 13 Marvelous Mauve as I've heard they're fantastic quality and yes, I'm impressed. Then the sale assistant showed me the new line Rouge Infusion which is another liquid lipstick with very thin consistency and lightweight feel but good staying power. I chose a beautiful pink nude shade called Petal.
I also picked a blush in the shade Romantic Rose and a gorgeous limited edition eyeshadow in Iridescent Shell.
Once I've tried all these products I will review them on my blog.
Last but not least I picked some Fizzing Cubes, they smell absolutely amazing even with the packaging on, I can't wait for a relaxing bath using one of those :)
I also received some samples with my purchase which is always a nice touch.
Visit to my country wouldn't be complete without checking all the skincare aisles in drugstore/pharmacies. We have many polish brands which are not available in UK so I'm always very excited to check all new lotions and potions :)
I used to buy Lirene skincare all the time as it's a great quality, containing high performace ingredients and they have many different ranges to suit any skin type. I didn't get crazy in this department as I have so many skincare products already so I picked only a day cream suited for more mature skin to protect it from aging process. I've used it couple of times and it feels so lovely on the skin.
In recent years I noticed that many polish brands released lots of face masks in sachet form which, in my opinion, is a great way of trying different ones without having to spend lots of money. Of course, I couldn't resist and picked many face masks from Ziaja, Perfecta and Soraya. I'm expecting to look at least 10 years younger after using all those skincare miracles :)
I also bought a foundation by Lirene, I used to use their foundation a lot in the past and they always had great ones. This one is called Intensive Double Cover but feels incredibly light and hydrating on the skin. I chose it in the shade a bit darker to match my skin better in the warmer months.
So these are the beauty things I bought while visiting my family in Poland.
Have you tried any of the brands? If so, let me know what was your experience.
