Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil - review

Ole henriksen Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil

Hello!
I love trying new skincare products but don't like throwing myself at every single sample I receive in a beauty box or with purchase because it's not good to disrupt my skincare routine and mess up with my skin with a 2, 3 uses with a sachet of the latest cream. But after receiving a deluxe sample of the Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil I couldn't wait for my current night time serum to finish to start using this little gem. I had never tried Ole Henriksen skincare before but heard only good things about this range produced by Danish skin cosmetician who worked in his own SPA in Hollywood looking after skin of many celebrities. His products are infused with highly active ingredients and formulations are safe for all skin types.
Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil is a luxurious, lightweight, citrus scented anti-aging treatment which quickly absorbs and deeply penetrates to heal, nourish, and hydrate.
It contains 100% Organic Rose Hips Seed Oil – pure, unfiltered, unprocessed and cold pressed for the highest potency, a natural source of active:
  • Vitamin A (Retinoic Acid) – activates cell renewal to improve texture, tone and clarity of skin,
  • Vitamin C – boosts collagen to strengthen and firm skin, brighten and restore radiance,
  • Omega 3&6 (essential fatty acids) and 9: (80%) – deeply nourishes, and hydrates,
  • Vitamin E – soothes and heals, improving scars, burns and wrinkles.

The product comes in a characteristic for Ole Henriksen range simple plastic bottle with a pump which is great considering it's an oil and it would be super easy to overspill it. I need two pumps to cover my entire face and neck. I've been using it for nearly a month, in the evenings after cleansing and toning my face. I found it nourishing and hydrating enough for my combination skin so I don't need any additional moisturiser/serum. The oil has light orange colour and citrusy scent (it contains Tangerine Peel Oil and Lemongrass Oil) which sometimes I love and other times not but it's a rather pleasant scent. The oil is not greasy but does leave a shiny film on my skin, hence using it a night time.

I've been really enjoying using this oil, it doesn't make my skin oilier, I'd say that lately my skin has been less oily than ever. In the first week of using it I noticed some little spots on my face but decided to continued using the oil and they healed quickly and never came back. Recently my skin has been looking so much healthier, plumper, brighter and glowing and I'm pretty sure that it's down to the Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil. Also I have some lines on my forehead that I have been getting conscious about and they've become less visible which makes me really happy.
The sample I've been using it's only 15ml but after a month of everyday usage there is still some left that probably will last me another 2-3 weeks, so even though the product costing £47 for 30ml (link) is not cheap, it will last 3-4 months which makes it not such a bad value for money.

Have you tried any skincare from Ole Henriksen? If so what would you recommend because I definitely want to try other his products.

    2. I have always been curios about this brand but the steep price has kept me away. Didn't want to invest and be disappointed. I do love facial oil and this sounds brilliant, will give it a try, thank you!

    4. Love deluxe samples when I can try the product for at least couple of weeks, other than that it's a waste of time. x
