Friday makeup look #2 Going green...

Hello!
Last week I asked if any of you have any suggestions for my series of makeup looks and the lovely Alina from Beauty with charm proposed eye makeup look using green or burgundy eye shadows. As I never use green shades for my eyes the idea of green eye makeup sounded great and challenging so I went straight to my dressing table to rummage through my eye shadows. Admittedly I don't own too many green eye shadows but have found some gorgeous ones in Makeup Revolution palette 'Eyes like Angels' (review). So the green eye makeup look has been created and even though I always thought that green doesn't go well with my eye colour I actually really liked it and recreated the very next day.

Here is the palette and the shades I used in this makeup look:

Makeup Revolution Eyes like Angels palette

Let me show you a short pictorial of how I created my eye makeup.

1 - after priming my eye lids with my usual concealer I applied Moss all over the lid up to the crease, how gorgeous is this shade! Golden/olive green, so beautiful and amazingly pigmented.
2 - with a fluffy crease brush I blended the edges of Moss and defined the crease using Choc! - satin warm brown.
3 - using small tapered brush I darkened the outer corner of my lid with Green Stars - very dark green with golden sparkles.
4 - I applied Pearl Necklace - white gold shimmer, in my inner corners blending it with Moss.
5 - I highlighted the brow bone with satin white eye shadow from the palette called Cream.
6 - then I lined my lashes with black eye liner - Oriflame The One Eye Liner Stylo and applied Emerald Night to my lower lash line.
7 - using tiny bit of Choc! I blended the edges of Emerald Night
8 - I lined my waterline with brown pencil by Jelly Pong Pong.
9 - cleaned up any fall out, applied a coat of mascara - L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes So Couture So Black, and filled in my brows with my usual Rimmel Eye Brow Pencil in Dark Brown followed by L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper Brow Gel in Medium/Dark.
Then I applied my false lashes - Red Cherry #523.

Next I finished my face makeup using the following products:

Primer - Pixi Flawless & Poreless Primer.
Foundation - Revlon Colour Stay in Sand Beige.
Concealer - Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin in 02Light to hide the under eye dark circles and L'Oreal Lumi Magique in Light for highlighting.
Powder - to set my concealer and foundation I used the trustworthy L'Oreal BB powder in Light.
Highlighter - I used the Makeup Revolution Radiant Light powder in Breathe to lightly dust the centre of my face and the high parts of my cheeks to add very natural glow to my face. I absolutely love this powder, it's such a gorgeous formula and the quality is amazing!
Bronzer - Rimmel Natural bronzer in 022 Sun Bronze.
Blush - Milani Baked Powder Blush in Luminoso (review).
Lipstick - MilaniColour Statement Lipstick in 25 Naturally Chic (review), can I just say once more that these lipsticks are fantastic, great formula and amazing pigmentation!

And that's the finished makeup look :)

As I mentioned already I really liked the green eye makeup look, so thank you Alina for your suggestion! I think those green colours would look stunning on brown eyes so if any of you, bronze eyes beauties, create similar look, please tag me in your pictures on twitter or instagram as I'd love to see them :)

  1. Another beautiful look!! I love green on my brown eyes but for some reason I'm always safe and stick to neutrals (boring.com lol). You inspired me to wear green. Will see if I find a good one in my stash and play with it this weekend. :) xx
