October collective beauty haul

Hello!
As a beauty addict enthusiast I love to buy new beauty products and no month is exception from this but there are months that I really stick to those everyday essentials which had to be replaced and there are months that my debit card is in constant use ;) October has been the month of treating myself to a few early Christmas gifts. Some of the products I bought has made their way onto my blog already, some haven't and maybe never will so I thought I will share with you what I bought recently.
I always like to have a nosey at what others have been buying from the beauty shelves so I hope you'll enjoy reading about my collective haul :)

3 Eye Makeup Looks using the Too Faced 'Everything Nice' palette

Too faced Everything Nice palette - makeup looks

Hello!
After using the Too Faced 'Everything Nice' palette for the last week I can honestly say that I'm loving it even more! (You can read my review here). The quality of the eye shadows is amazing, they have great pigmentation, blend beautifully and last long on my lids without creasing and fading. Couple of those very shimmery shades have tendency to fall out but tapping off the excess product from the brush and being carful with application minimise the problem. The cheek products are also excellent and I've been loving especially the Papa Don't Peach blush - gorgeous peachy coral.

There are 20 eye shadows so the possibilities for makeup looks are nearly endless. You can create subtle natural day look, go smoky for the evening or completely crazy with all the jewel tones for a party. This palette is very versatile and for someone, like me, who loves experimenting with different colours it's just perfect.

My current favourite medium/full coverage drugstore foundations

Full coverage drugstore foundations

Hello!
When it comes to foundation I prefer those which give me medium to full coverage, especially during colder months when 'the makeup melting off' is not an issue. My skin has very uneven tone with some hyperpigmentation, redness, broken capillaries and large pores. So if I do my makeup I want my skin to look as much perfected as possible without looking like a mask. Finding the right foundation with fuller coverage is not easy, but after trying many drugstore offerings I decided to share with you my current favourites. All three foundation claim to be full coverage and apart from one they're more suitable for combination/oily skin. For reference my skin is combination with oilier T-zone but also with some dry patches appearing out of nowhere ;)

Too Faced 'Everything Nice' Palette - first impressions and swatches

Too faced Everything Nice palette

Hello!
Today I'm very excited to share with you my first impressions of the gorgeous palette 'Everything Nice - That's What Pretty Girls Are Made Of' by Too Faced.
Ever since seeing a sneak peak of this palette on The Sunday Girl blog last month I was in love with it and dreaming of getting it. It's a limited edition palette launched for the 2014 Holiday season and the packaging screams parties, Christmas, New Year and it's super cute.
I didn't think I would get this palette as it seemed like it was only available in US Sephora and I didn't plan on placing an international order but one evening I was browsing my favourite beauty websites and saw that Beauty Bay was stocking this palette. Without thinking twice I ordered it!
It's an expensive palette, costing £45, and normally I don't spend that much on a single makeup item but I just couldn't help myself. I've been lusting after some Too Faced palettes for the last few months and seeing that this mega palette contains 20 big sized eye shadows and 4 cheek products I somehow justified the splurge.

Kiss Proof Lip Colour? Rimmel Provocalips

Rimmel Provocalips in Make your Move

Hello!
I'm coming back today with yet another lip product, you can clearly see the lipstick addict I'm becoming :) I picked this lipstick in Asda while doing my weekly shopping just because it was on offer and I thought that it has similar formula to a lipstick I've tried before from L'Oreal, the Infallible 24H Lip Colour which I was impressed with. The shade I chose is called Make Your Move and it's a brown-y pink nude, bang on trend with the 90s!

Manicure Monday #18 So Susan 'Dark Denim' & Aqua Marine

So Susan 'Dark denim' So Susan 'Aqua marine'

Hello!
Ever since I received the So Susan Lacquerlove box last month I knew I will pair these two nail polishes together as 'Aqua Marine' is a very sheer nail polish which requires many coats to get an opaque finish. So I thought that using it as a top coat over a darker polish would give a nice effect.

Splurge or Save? #2 Benefit the Porefessional vs L'Oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream

L'Oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream

Hello!
Face primer is not something I use everyday before applying my makeup, mostly because I don't remember about it, don't have time in the morning for the extra step and also I haven't noticed a massive difference between how my makeup performs during the day with and without primer.
Nevertheless I am still looking for the one perfect, miracle product that will make my skin look airbrushed and my makeup flawless for the whole day.
My main skin concerns are large pores, uneven complexion and some pigmentation. A good foundation evens out my skin tone but doesn't make my pores look significantly smaller so that's where the primer should come with help. I've tried many primers that claim to minimise the appearance of pores and some of them do it better than others but I'm yet to find the one that I'm 100% happy with.

FOTD #3 Romantic eye makeup look using 'Tamanna Palette'

Tamanna palette

Hello!
Following my review of 'Tamanna Palette' I decided to share with you, guys, one of my eye makeup looks created with this palette. I really love the quality of the eye shadows and how versatile this palette is. I've been reaching for it every time I have the chance and time to do my eye makeup. The look I am going to share with you today was inspired by one of the 'Get the look' cards that came with the palette. But as I have quite small, slightly hooded eyes and very small area under brows I always have to adapt the makeup looks I see somewhere to my needs and what works best for me.
Just as a quick disclaimer, I'm not an expert in makeup, I'm just a girl who loves to play with it :)

Manicure Monday #17 Maybelline 'Midnight Red'

Maybelline Gel nail in Midnight Red

Hello!
After loving so much the new Maybelline SuperStay Gel Nail in Berry Stain I decided to get another shade. I picked 'Midnight Red', a beautiful deep burgundy red colour with brown undertones that, in my opinion, is the perfect Autumnal shade. I love it!

Beautiful Autumnal 'Tamanna Palette' by Anastasia Beverly Hills

Tamanna Palette

Hello!
If you've been reading my blog for any length of time you should have noticed that I'm absolutely obsessed with eye shadow palettes. I adore them! I love how you have a thought out selection of shades in one place that you can mix and match creating different looks. Before I had my children I used to wear eye shadows nearly every day and smokey eye is my signature look. Nowadays I don't have much time to do my eye makeup every morning without my boys getting their curious hands on my cosmetics so I reserve the big makeup game for weekends when my husband is at home and I can spend as long as I wish in front of the mirror, well, an hour or so before he starts looking for me, haha.

The Lip Product Addict Tag

The lip product addict tag picture

Hello!
I'm coming back with another tag, this time I'm going to tell you about my latest obsession: lip products.
So thank you to lovely Alina from Beauty with Charm who tagged me to do this post!
Up until a year ago, basically until I started reading beauty blogs I was the kind of girl with couple of lipsticks, a lip gloss and a lip balm. I didn't care too much about that part of my makeup and wasn't really excited about lipsticks. But that has changed a lot, especially since I started my blog, suddenly I realised I can't wear the same nude lipstick all year round, every day. So I decided to have a good browse in old good Boots in lipsticks section. And, oh boy, that was it! So many different shades, finishes, formulas! How could I ever lived with only one lipstick?!
My collection of lip products and my passion for them is slowly growing so this tag is a great fun for me to do it.
Let's get to it!

You Beauty Discovery box - October edition

you beauty discovery box october edition

Hello!
October edition of You Beauty Discovery box represented once again excellent value for money and this month's theme was 'Handbag Heroes' covering hair, nails, skin, makeup and fragrance. To choose my two products was a tough decision but I settled for a Murad face exfoliator and Illamasqua lipstick which I got very excited about when I saw it being one of the products to choose from.

Manicure Monday #16 OPI 'Kermit Me To Speak'

Hello!
This week I'm wearing on my nails this duo-chrome nail polish by OPI from The Muppets Collection in the shade 'Kermit Me To Speak'. I just love the names of OPI nail polishes!
I bought this one back in the Summer but didn't want to wear it at that time as with those purple/golden tones this shade is more Autumn appropriate for me. So here we are, rainy, windy, cold grey Monday and my nails looking very autumnal :)

Maybelline Intense Velvet Lip Pencils

Hello!
If you've been reading my blog for awhile you know that I'm becoming obsessed with lipsticks and I can't believe that I neglected this area of makeup for so long! lol
Now every time I'm anywhere close to any beauty/makeup shelves I need to check the new lip products and swatch them all! (I'm so grateful to always have with me baby wipes, they're so handy when you have a half of your arm covered in different shades of lipsticks.) Most of the time I stop myself there and leave the makeup displays with empty basket but when I tried the new Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencils (£4.99) I knew I had to have some of them.

FOTD #2 Berry lips and eyes - Autumnal look

Hello!
I've been lately very obsessed with berry coloured lipsticks, the one I've been loving is from Rimmel by Kate #30 and I try to wear every time I can. One Saturday I decided to glam myself up a bit and create a makeup focused on the berry lips with not too dramatic eye but also with a touch of berry shade on the lids.
I remembered this gorgeous eye shadow from Makeup Revolution 'Eyes like Angels' palette which is called 'Sophisticated Pink' but for me it's really a cranberry colour and I used it for my eye lids.
