Monthly Beauty Favourites #6 - September

September Beauty favourites

Hello!
I can't believe it's the end of September, this month really flew by like no other for me. When I started seeing a couple of days ago in my Bloglovin feed 'September favourites' posts I was quite shocked that the end of the month has come so quick.
Anyway, back to my beauty favourites, there are only three products I've decided to feature this month. I still absolutely love my August favourites and as I didn't buy much beauty products during September there were not that many products in my everyday routine that hasn't been reviewed or featured before.
So let me tell you about those new beauties who stood out for me this month.

The Blogger Tag

Hello!
Last week I've been tagged by lovely Helen from Loves and Loathes to do The Blogger Tag, as I like to get involved in the blogging community and this tag is sweet and short I've decided to take part.
So here are my answers to this tag's questions:

Manicure Monday #15 So Susan 'Hot Sand'

Nail Laquer So Susan in Hot sand

Hello!
Today I'm showing you yet another So Susan Nail Lacquer, this time in Hot Sand, grey-ish beige colour with tiny speckles of golden glitter. I'm not the biggest fan of grey, muddy paddles-like nail polishes but this one looked really pretty in the bottle and different from any other shades I have in my collection. It was one of the 5 nail polishes I received in the latest LacquerLove subscription box but you can buy it individually from So Susan website if you like the look of this colour.

Love Me Beauty box - September edition

Love Me Beauty box September edition

Hello!
This month Love Me Beauty surprised us all with the Beauty Revolution which basically means that they've changed the main concept for their beauty box. Now they have a wide selection of beauty products, samples and full sizes, and you get to choose the ones you want in your box.
Every month the box you pay for is worth 6 credits which then you can redeem  for your products. Normally a sample is worth 1 credit and a full size product 2 credits. I like the new concept as I always prefer to choose the products that appeal to me the most than getting some surprises that are completely useless.
After some delays and problems on the website my box finally arrived and I'm happy I get to try products that I've chosen for myself. Unfortunately I didn't get one of them as I was told that the sample I chose was sold out at the time of packing my box which is a bit unfair but I got the option to choose a different product or transfer the credit for next box which I did.

The Makeup Tag

Hello!
Just recently I was tagged by lovely Brenda from Brenda BusyBee blog to do the Makeup Tag ( read hers post here) and as it's always fun to answer some make up questions I've decided to participate.
So here's the questions and my answers...

WHAT FOUNDATION  DO YOU USE?
I keep switching foundations and still looking for my holy grail one but recently I picked in Asda, while doing shopping, Rimmel Lasting Finish just because was on offer and I am really loving it. I didn't expect it to be this nice. Keep an eye for the review:)

Disappointing products #1

Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover

Hello!
Every now and then we all buy product that doesn't perform as we expected and leaves us feeling disappointed. It happens to me quite often even though I try to make my research before buying certain products and normally I'm not an impulsive buyer who throws to the basket whatever catches my eye. But I still end up with beauty products that I'm not happy with. It doesn't mean they're bad, they just either don't work for me or didn't meet my high expectations.
Writing this post I don't want anyone to put off of getting certain products, I just want to share my honest opinion and my experience. Obviously everyone is different, with different preferences and expectations so if something is not good for me it doesn't mean it will be bad for you as well.
Having that in mind let me tell you about some of my 'disappointing' products.

Empties #4 Skincare

"Empties"

Hello!
I haven't written 'Empties' post for a while as I'm not sure if I want to make it a regular series on my blog but seeing empty bottles and containers lying around my bathroom and bedroom I've decided to gather them together and show you what I've used up recently. As I don't want this post to be too long I split all the 'empties' into categories and today it's a skincare bit.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate #30

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate #30

Hello!
After falling in love with the shade and formula of my very first Rimmel lipstick from the 'by Kate' range I had to go back for more. As we are approaching Autumn one of the shades that stood out to me was the shade #30 from the Boho Rhapsody collection. It's a gorgeous berry/dark plum colour, perfect for the upcoming season.

Manicure Monday #13 So Susan 'Bangles'

Hello!
In my previous 'Manicure Monday' post I talked to you about one of the So Susan Nail Lacquers I received in the August Lacquerlove subscription box and how disappointing the formula was. I couldn't wait to test a different colour so this week I'm showing you swatches of another So Susan Nail Lacquer called 'Bangles'.

Look Fantastic beauty box

#LFBeauty box

Hello!
Most of you have seen probably on other blogs or on Twitter that Look Fantastic has launched their own beauty box. Look Fantastic is a website selling thousands of premium beauty products so when I found out about their box from Jaina' blog I ordered it straight away without knowing what's inside and normally I prefer beauty boxes where I am able to choose my products. But I was expecting a great box and let me tell you, I wasn't disappointed!

FOTD #1 Bronzed eyes and red lips

Hello!
I love playing with make up, swatching all the beautiful shades of eye shadows, lipsticks etc. on the back of my hand and of course wearing it. On everyday basis, with two small children running around me, I don't have much time to spend hour in front of the mirror but on weekends, when my husband is at home, I like to take my time to make myself look pretty:) I love to experiment with different looks and general have fun with all those pretty products I keep buying. I'm not expert by any means, far from it, and at the age of 35 I'm still learning what suits me best. But as I enjoy making myself up I thought that I would occasionally share with you, guys, some of my looks I create.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Advanced Correcting Serum - Review

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Advanced Correcting Serum

Hello!
Serum is a product that I've been only using for less than a year but with all of the ones I've tried I noticed a difference in my skin so it became a must-have product in my skincare routine. So when I run out of my amazing Avene Soothing serum I made my research for the replacement. Originally I thought of repurchasing the Avene one but decided to pick something that will tackle my main skin concerns: large pores and uneven skin tone. I have some pigmentation on my face that started looking darker after a few days in the sun without high SPF on ( I know, naughty me) and it really bothered me and was very hard to cover with make up without making it to look too heavy. I knew I had to find a good product that will help me correct my skin tone. There is a lovely serum from LancĂ´me called Vissionaire but is way out of my budget so I started looking into more purse friendly options. After doing my online research I decided to get the Vichy Idealia Life Serum which has great reviews and sounds like something it would be beneficial to my skin. And then before I purchased it I saw in Boots an offer on all Skin Perfection products from L'Oreal  and Advanced Correcting Serum landed in my basket.

You Beauty Discovery box - September edition

You Beauty Discovery September edition

Hello!
You Beauty Discovery box (£6.95 including p&p) never disappoints! Every month I'm super excited to see the selection of products to choose my two from and every month there are at least two I really want to try. This month was no exception, there were 4 products that I wanted to choose but had to make my decision and these two made it to my box.

Manicure Monday #12

Hello!
Couple of weeks ago, after seeing some fellow bloggers reviewing So Susan Lacquerlove Subscription boxes and as I am absolutely obsessed with nail polish I decided to order the box for myself. Lacquerlove box contains 4 So Susan nail polishes plus one extra make up product.
I love the idea, but I'm not sure if I would keep my subscription as for the price of £14.95 I can pick up some other great nail polishes but I shall see.
Anyway I have 4 new nail lacquers from So Susan which are 4-Free (free from toluene, DBP, formaldehyde & formaldehyde resin) so great for all of you who want to avoid nasty chemicals and definitely better for our nails.

My perfect 'NUDE' lipstick for Autumn/Winter

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate 08

Hello!
Up until a year ago I was a woman with a healthy amount of make up which included 2, 3 lipsticks at a time. But since venturing into the beauty blogging world everything has changed :)
Now not amount of make up seems to be enough when there are so many beautiful items on the shelves of drugstores, department stores etc. And as my make up collection is growing my love for lipsticks is growing too. I used to be lip gloss kind of girl but not any more! So I'm on the hunt for the perfect shades for me of different colours of lipsticks!
And I've found my ideal nude shade for upcoming Autumn and Winter, yey! Most of the nude shades I've tried before were too pale for me, or too beige-y and I didn't like them. But just recently, in Boots, I started swatching the Rimmel lipsticks and found one that seemed to be just right.
Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate in 08 (RRP £5.49).

Monthly Beauty Favourites #5 August

August Beauty Favourites

Hello!
Another month is gone and we are quickly approaching Autumn, how crazy is that! It seems like the Summer has started only a week ago. And in no time we'll be wearing warm jackets and scarfs and buying Christmas gifts.
Anyway, I'm going to tell you today about my latest favourite beauty products. I still absolutely love the ones from my July's post but here's some new discoveries that I enjoyed using in August.

Manicure Monday #11

Hello!
Can't believe it's September already! Where the time has gone?
Anyway I am slightly excited for the new season approaching and with it cosy sweaters, long evenings with hot drink and darker nails:)
The weather hasn't been the best lately so my choice of colour for this week manicure was different from my Summery bright pinks and corals.
