My opinion on... La Roche-Posay Rosaliac CC Cream / Review

Hello!
In the last few years there have been lots of BB and CC creams coming in to the beauty market. While I've tried a few BB creams and I liked them, especially in Summer when I want lighter base, I haven't tried any CC creams.
Letters CC stand for Colour Correcting and in general this kind of hybrid between foundation and cream is supposed to help with redness, dullness, and even out skin tone. Everything I want from my make up base product.
So when I was given the opportunity to try La Roche-Posay Rosaliac CC Daily Unifying Complete Correction Cream (*) I was very excited to see how will it live up to my expectations.

What's on my nalis? #6

Hello!
The new Barry M Collection is called Aquarium and it consists of 4 two-tone shades and two glitter polishes inspired by the colours of the sea and underwater life.

Ever since I saw first pictures of this collection on beauty blogs I knew I had to pick some of them.
The first ones I bought are Pacific and Mermaid. They make me think of Summer holidays somewhere warm, of turquoise sea, sandy beaches, delicious cocktails... a girl can dream:)
So back to those polishes, even though, in my opinion, they are perfect for Summer I couldn't wait to wear them on my nails and here we are.

Recent beauty purchases

 Hello!
Being a skincare and make up lover there is always something I want to get, every single month I'm adding to my wish list and of course there are always some essentials I just need to buy.
So in March, apart from getting my subscription beauty boxes, (you can read about them here and here) I bought a few skincare, make up and body care products.

Make me blush... with Famous X make up

Hello!
Firstly, can I just say that I absolutely adore the packaging of these babies! They're so pretty! Probably not for everyone's taste but I love how girly these compacts are. Made of plastic but very sturdy and the opening is secure so there is no risk of accidents in your make up bag. Also every compact has a large mirror which is super handy for any touch ups on the go. And each of them contain 7.5g of product.

My opinion on... Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum / Review

Hello!
I love my skincare routine, always cleanse, tone, and moisturise my face with addition of some masks every other day. But I never actually used any serum. With my rather oily skin I didn't feel the need for extra care apart from my usual day and night cream.
But after reading too many beauty blogs I've learnt that serum is not just extravagant addition to your skincare but essential to beautiful skin as it's a highly concentrated product that contains approximately ten times more of biologically active substances than creams and therefore works quicker and more effectively. So my search for  the perfect serum has began.

What's on my nails? #5

Hello!
It's officially Spring and I couldn't be more excited. Spring is my favourite season, with all the nature coming back to life, trees and flowers blooming, sun shining (hopefully most of the time) and days getting longer. I am generally in a better mood just knowing it's Spring time and Summer is just around the corner.

Next week we are moving to a new house and while packing my beauty stash I rediscovered this Sally Hansen Diamond Strength nail polish in Guess Blue?. I bought it some time ago in Poundland and, unfortunately, I can not find a place to buy it anywhere here in UK, so I'm guessing this line, sadly, was never released here.

It's a beautiful cornflower blue colour with very light, subtle shimmer that doesn't translate much on to the nails. You need two coats to get opaque finish. The formula is quite thick but applies well, the drying time is too long for my liking so you definitely need a good top coat ( Seche Vite, Sally Hansen Insta Dri) to speed things up. It stays chip free for 2, 3 days on my nails which is good for me as I tend to have chipped nails the very next day after painting them.
If you have the chance to get your hands on this little gem I totally recommend it as it's a beautiful, bright blue colour, perfect for Spring and Summer.

Can you recommend any alternatives to this colour? Do you like wearing blue on your nails?

Kind regards
Dagmara

My opinion on... Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Foundation

Hello!
After reading so many good reviews about Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer I was very curious about the foundation from the same line. So on one of my trips to Boots I grabbed it while it was on offer for £3.99, here.

My everyday make up routine

Hello!
I love playing with make up, and creating lovely smokey eyes but not every day it's possible. With two small children and lots of housework my everyday make up routine is very quick and simple. So I don't spend hours in front of a mirror but still look like I had a good night sleep (what's that?) and can go out with kids feeling comfortable in my own skin.

What's on my nails? #4

Hello!
The spring has sprung! The sun has been shining for the last few days and I'm dreaming of summer already. So the choice of polish for my nails this weekend was easy. I wanted to feel like on summer holidays while looking at my nails.
So here we are:
Rimmel Lycra Pro in Cocktail Passion (313) - beautiful pinky coral colour with creamy, glossy finish. You can buy it here or here the new version.
The formula of this polish is really nice, applies easily, especially with the wide brush, unfortunately one coat is very streaky and you need 2, 3 coats to achieve the effect like on the picture. I have here 2 coats but the second was fairly thick. Drying time is quite long so it's good to use a fast drying top coat, like Seche Vite or Sally Hansen Insta-Dri.
The colour is very pretty and perfect for spring and summer and looks even better with tanned skin.
What is your favourite nail polish at the moment?
Kind regards
Dagmara

My budget friendly gift ideas for Mother's Day

Hello!
Mother's Day is such a beautiful celebration of a woman who gave you life and unconditional love. I love my Mum very much and since becoming mum myself I appreciate her even more than before. I don't need a special occasion to give Her a present or spend some quality time with Her but still like to make a Mother's Day a memorable one.
My Mum lives in Poland so it's not always possible to spend this particular day together but I always send her a beautiful bouquet of flowers to make her feel loved and important.

Hair colouring at home

Hello!
My natural hair colour is light brown but I never liked it as it looks for most of the year like mouse brown, not so attractive! So to add my hair some vibrancy I've been dying it for many years now, normally choosing richer browns or reds as those colours, in my opinion, suit me the best.
And last week I couldn't ignore my dark hair roots screaming at me every time I looked in the mirror so it was time for me to get some colouring product.

Free gifts with April's issues of Glamour and Marie Claire

Hello everyone!
I am not a regular magazine buyer but sometimes I just like to relax with my coffee and have a look at those glossy pages of beauty, lifestyle and fashion. And last weekend I decided to have my 'me time with magazine' so went to the shop to buy something. My attention caught Glamour and Marie Claire, basically because of free gifts they had. So I want to share with you in case you are willing to get those freebies.

Up to 1/3 % off on French Brands at Escentual.com

Hello everyone!
Being new to the whole blogosphere I was completely unaware of many amazing websites selling beauty products, so every time I find a new one I am super excited. Escentual is one of those I just recently came across and they are having throughout March an amazing offer of up to 30% off selected brands like Vichy, Avene, La Roche-Posay, Caudalie, Nuxe, so I thought I'm going to help the word to spread around and write a post about it.
It would be such a shame not to take advantage of those discounts and grab yourself some amazing products.

My opinion on... Seche Vite Top Coat and Orly Bonder Basecoat

Hello everyone!
I am one of those unlucky girls who has chipped nails within hours of painting them, how annoying!
So I searched the blogosphere with hope of finding some miraculous products to extend the life of polish on my nails. And these two are the ones I decided to buy:

Fragrance Direct mini Haul

Hello everyone!
I am very late to this party but as I only a few months ago discovered the massive world of beauty blogs I was completely unaware of existence of those discount online shops. So when I read about Fragrance Direct on Miss Budget Beauty blog I got very excited. Then I became a bit sceptic wondering why the prices of beauty products, very often normally quite expensive, are so low. So I read lots of reviews on this kind of sites and the opinions are very mixed so you have to be aware that the products might be from old collection and might not perform as you expect them to.
Anyway, seeing those bargains it's hard to resist so this month I placed a little cheeky order and these are the products:
