You Beauty Discovery box - December edition

Hello!
You Beauty Discovery box is the only subscription box I've been keeping, basically because it's super affordable at £6.95 and always has good selection of products to choose my two samples from.
And the box always comes with some extra treats being normally a little samples and exclusive discounts and offers on the products feature in that box.

This month's theme for the box was 'Party Prep' and there was a selection of beauty items to help us get ready for the party season.

The extra samples this month were:
* Hiker's Foot Healer which contains Tapioca Powder to help prevent rubbing from shoes and some nourishing ingredients to keep the skin supple and soft
* Yardley Hydrating and Enriching Body Lotion in Uplifting Daisy
* Lindt Christmas mini Bear Chocolate.

The samples I chose for my box are:
* COLAB London & Rio Dry Shampoo Duo - the latest addition to dry shampoos family developed by the famous blogger and vlogger Ruth Crilly, I'm not fan of dry shampoos but I'm more than happy to try these ones.
* Amie Morning Clear Purifying Wash and Morning Dew Matte - Finish Moisturiser - I've never tried anything from this brand but read lots of good things so I'm excited to try these samples and especially the Dew Matte moisturiser sounds intriguing.

What do you think of this subscription box? Is it something you would subscribe to?

  2. I had one You Beauty box which I wasn't overwhelmed by so didn't get another box. I think i prefer my Glossybox although I do like the fact you can choose what you want with this box :) x

  3. The total amount of this months box was a bit underwhelming, but still good over all. Not sure I will be ordering again, though they did charge me twice!

  4. I am not sure beauty boxes are for me as I am kind of picky and I am afraid I would be disappointed most of the time. However, I would have loved to receive this particular box as I have been wanting to try Ruth Colab dry shampoos since their launch. Can't wait to hear you thoughts about them!

    1. I dislike dry shampoos and never really use them but because the COLAB is a new launch I decided to give them a go. We shall see if they will convert me :) x

  5. Never heard of this beauty box before, but it's an entirely different concept, and there appears to be less products, than usual beauty boxes, but I can assure you, you'll most likely enjoy the Amie Morning Morning Dew Matte - Finish Moisturiser, I remember using it a few years back and loved it!

    1. Yes, there is only two products you can choose from the list that differs every month but I like how affordable this box is and I haven't been really very disappointed with it. Looking forward to using the Amie Moisturiser :) x

  6. For £6.95 this box is not bad but I have definitely seen better products in other months versions, which is a shame considering it's December you'd think they would take it up a notch. I am intrigued about the Colab Dry Shampoos though x

    1. I agree they should have made the box extra special but for the price I'm happy with it. I'm never disappointed with this box, maybe because it's very cheap so I don't feel like I'm wasting lots of money on something I don't like and also I always can choose my samples :) x

  8. I like the fact that you can choose some of the products but then I like to be surprised by the ones that you can't choose. I am not sure that beauty boxes are for me but I like reading posts about them :)

    1. I used to be crazy about beauty boxes when I first started blogging and reading all the 'unboxing' posts but lately I got bored with them and finally I realised that I prefer to spend the £15 on something I actually really want than on a box of samples that will probably will stay unused. But this box as it's so cheap I like to keep and I get to choose my samples so that's always a bonus :) x

  9. I'm a fan of the Look Fantastic boxes. The last British Beauty Blogger box was simply out of this world and can't wait for the next. I'm currently also getting My Little Box...on the fence a bit with that one...some lovely products with it, but a couple I won't use. This does indeed look like a bargain box, so I might swap to this one. Thanks for the review.

    1. I stopped getting most of the boxes as I was getting more and more samples that I wouldn't simply use. But I stayed with You Beauty simply because is cheap and always have nice things on offer :)

  10. I always see these subscription boxes online and I'll be honest, I don't feel very tempted, especially when they come with sachet samples. Having said that, I love the Colab dry shampoo. It's become my favourite one now. xx
