Look Fantastic beauty box - December edition

#lfbeautybox

Hello!
After absolutely loving the November Look Fantastic beauty box I pre-ordered the December one and couldn't wait for it to arrive. I was expecting another box full of amazing products to try.
Were my expectations fulfilled? I'd say yes, but not all the contents I found exciting.

#lfbeautybox

Macadamia Infused Comb Nourish and Detangle Hair, full size - not sure if I would even use this comb but the idea is quite intriguing and if you're wondering if the comb feels greasy? It's not, it feels like your average plastic comb :)
Murad Essential-C Cleanser, 45ml sample - this cleanser sounds lovely with Vitamins A, C and E, Sodium PCA ( to bind moisture to the skin) and Allantoin (to soothe and moisturise) and smells amazingly citrusy, it will be perfect for the morning cleanse. I'm happy with this sample.
Gold Collagen 'Pure Gold Collagen', sample 1 day supply - this is a liquid food supplement enriched with a special blend of hydrolysed collagen, vitamins and minerals to re-activate the formation of collagen for a brighter, plumper and more youthful looking skin. This sounds amazing but the bottle is a one day supply and the recommended time for taking the supplement is 4-6 weeks so I don't really see the point in this sample.
Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil, sample 15ml - this sample I am super excited about, I've never tried anything from Ole Henriksen but heard only great things and this Oil sounds amazing containing concentrated Rose Hip Oil to heal, nourish and hydrate.
Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel, 15ml sample - another sample that I'm happy about, I love using chemical exfoliators and this one contains natural fruit enzymes of Papaya and Pineapple to exfoliate, moisturise, repair and protect the skin. I've tried a few things from Elemis and they were all really good so I'm excited to start using this one.

Bourjois Intense Smoky Eye Shadow Trio, full size - even though I'm an eye shadow palettes junkie I'm not excited by this trio, the pigmentation is not the best ( I had to swatch the shadows heavily for the picture) and I doubt very much I would reach for this to do my eye makeup. Of course if you don't own many eye shadows you might find this little trio very useful to do a smokey eye makeup but for me it will be rather unloved.
Lord&Berry Silk Kajal Kohl Eyeliner in black, travel size - another sample I'm not excited about but this one actually will be useful to have it in my handbag for any makeup touch ups.

So these are the contents of December Look Fantastic beauty box. Even though I wasn't very excited with everything I received there were some products that really stood out for me and made the box definitely worth getting and great value for money.

If you like the look of December box you still can get it here, it costs £15 including p&p.

  2. I didnt buy the LFBeautybox this month and I'm kinda glad I didnt! I think I would have been quite disappointed with the contents compared to what they have been putting in their previous boxes! The Ole Henrikson looks good though :) x

    1. The Ole Henrikson sample is the one I am the most excited about. I don't think I will be pre-ordering the next LFbeautybox. x

  3. This is actually quite disappointing considering it's the December edition, I really thought they would be upping their game a notch and making the box amazing! I am glad I didn't order myself one as the only things I would be excited about is the Murad cleanser and Elemis peel x

    1. Agree, I thought the box will be even more amazing than the last one considering we have Christmas on the calendar. Still, it's not a bad box but my expectations were higher. I'm sure I won't be pre-ordering the next box. x

  4. The Ole Heriksen and Elemis samples sound great but the rest looks quite disappointing indeed. Just as Alina, I thought they would bring a more 'special' box for the holiday season.

    1. Many people feel disappointed with this box, I'm not entirely disappointed but I'm also not keen on ordering the next month's box. I agree that they should have brought some 'special' box this month. x

  5. The Bourjous shadows look so pretty, it's such a shame they're not very pigmented! xx

    1. Yes, they look so pretty in the pan but the pigmentation is not great unfortunately. x

  6. I agree about the eyeshadow trio. BUT...put a smidgen of primer onto your hand and lightly sweep your eye-shadow brush across it, then load the brush with the eye shadow. Bingo...you get a burst of colour. Transforms any powdery or slightly meh eye shadow. I've saved quite a few from my eye shadow graveyard this way!
