Today I'm very excited to share with you my first impressions of the gorgeous palette 'Everything Nice - That's What Pretty Girls Are Made Of' by Too Faced.
Ever since seeing a sneak peak of this palette on The Sunday Girl blog last month I was in love with it and dreaming of getting it. It's a limited edition palette launched for the 2014 Holiday season and the packaging screams parties, Christmas, New Year and it's super cute.
I didn't think I would get this palette as it seemed like it was only available in US Sephora and I didn't plan on placing an international order but one evening I was browsing my favourite beauty websites and saw that Beauty Bay was stocking this palette. Without thinking twice I ordered it!
It's an expensive palette, costing £45, and normally I don't spend that much on a single makeup item but I just couldn't help myself. I've been lusting after some Too Faced palettes for the last few months and seeing that this mega palette contains 20 big sized eye shadows and 4 cheek products I somehow justified the splurge.
Let's have a look what's inside the pretty box :)
Firstly, can we just appreciate how everything look just cute, super girly and very festive with the glitter and golden elements. I love it! Just looking at this palette makes me happy and I feel like Christmas has arrived already :)
The palette comes with a makeup bag with one side covered in hot pink glitter and the other with metallic finish and Too Faced logo. Unfortunately the palette doesn't fit inside the bag and I thought it would but nevertheless I can definitely find a use for this pretty thing.
Next we have deluxe sample of Better Than Sex mascara which is my favourite mascara ever, you can read my review here, so I'm very happy with that.
And lastly as an addition to the palette we get a mini brush set and a little leaflet with some inspirations for creating different looks using the palette. The brushes are actually very soft and I might get use of them, especially the liner brush as it's thin and firm and the face brush looks like something handy with contouring :)
'Everything Nice' palette is made from hard cardboard and has a magnetic closure. Inside it has gold metallic finish and contains 20 eye shadows, two blushes, bronzer and highlight.
Let me show you now the swatches!
Turtle Dove - bright ivory with matte finish, buttery soft, amazing for under brow highlight.
Dream On - very pale beige, matte, very soft.
After Hours - golden medium-brown with metallic finish and some subtle silver flecks of glitter, soft texture.
Fawned Of You - buttery soft, beige-brown with matte finish, perfect as a transitional colour.
Knockout - cool toned matte dark brown, the texture is soft but not powdery.
Paper Roses - very pale pink with pearly finish, slightly powdery texture.
Kindness Is Free - baby pink with frosty finish, very soft texture.
Mauvelous - silver toned mauve with tiny silver sparkles, soft in texture but looks like it might be prone to some fall out.
Be You - mauve-y muted purple, soft texture but slightly powdery.
Secret Lovers - dark brown with metallic finish, very soft.
Heaven - yellow toned white, matte, buttery soft.
Shiny Happy - cool toned light gold with metallic finish and tiny silver sparkles, very soft.
Honey Pot - orange toned gold with metallic sheen, beautifully soft.
Don't Settle - medium brown gold with metallic sheen and golden shimmer, great pigmentation and texture.
Girly - this is such a unique shade for me, red toned brown with green duo chrome, soft texture and super pigmented.
Totally Fetch - hot pink with blue undertones and pearly sheen, slightly powdery, to get a shade as dark as in the pan needs building up.
Live It Up - blue toned purple with tiny flecks of blue sparkle which unfortunately don't stick to the colour, not overly pigmented.
Too Glam - beautiful green teal with frosty finish, intensely pigmented and very soft.
Head Over Heels - navy blue with light blue and purple sparkles, it applies quite sheer.
Chocolate Moon - dark brown matte with golden sparkles, slightly dry texture.
Sweet Pink - medium pink with very fine golden shimmer, nicely pigmented and very soft.
Papa Don't Peach - beautiful peachy coral with frosty sheen, very pigmented and buttery soft texture.
Chocolate Soleil - medium brown mate/satin bronzer which smells like chocolate!
Inner Light - champagne gold highlighter with golden shimmer.
Most of the eye shadows are great quality, buttery soft, very pigmented, easy to blend and the cheeks products are also beautiful. I've used this palette only once to do my makeup, but the eye shadows blended easily and they stayed in place all day without creasing (on top of the primer), also I didn't experience any fall out while applying them. That day I wore the Sweet Pink blush and it didn't fade nor accentuate my pores which might be the case for glittery products.
There is lots of sparkles and shimmer in this palette so if you are not into that you wouldn't like the palette. But I do love shimmer, and especially for the upcoming Holiday season I think is very appropriate to use more shimmery products.
'Everything Nice' palette is probably not the best out there and not for everyone but I'm loving it and can't wait to start properly playing with it. I like that there are matte shades amongst all this shimmer, there are some beautiful neutrals and also some jewel tones for extra fun.
I'm very happy to have gotten my first Too Faced palette and I know that I won't stop here and will definitely get some more of their products as the overall quality seems to be great.
So these are my first impressions on the palette, lovely people, stay tuned for some makeup looks created using it :)
At the moment of publishing this post Too Faced 'Everything Nice' palette is back in stock on BeautyBay website if you want to treat yourself to an early Christmas gift :)
