As a beauty
addict enthusiast I love to buy new beauty products and no month is exception from this but there are months that I really stick to those everyday essentials which had to be replaced and there are months that my debit card is in constant use ;) October has been the month of treating myself to a few early Christmas gifts. Some of the products I bought has made their way onto my blog already, some haven't and maybe never will so I thought I will share with you what I bought recently.
I always like to have a nosey at what others have been buying from the beauty shelves so I hope you'll enjoy reading about my collective haul :)
I am still on the hunt for the perfect face primer and foundation so there is no surprise I bought some this month as well. Seventeen Stay Time Long Wear Primer sounds very promising but I just can't make it work for me. It's thick and just impossible to blend into my skin, I've tried it only once and hated it but I will try to give it a go again. In the other hand the Seventeen Stay Time 25h foundation I really like for when I want that extra coverage, I talked about it here. And here comes the Star, the latest foundation from Dior, my very first makeup item from this luxurious brand. After reading so many great reviews about it I bit the bullet and bought it, basically expecting a miracle in a bottle which unfortunately is not. I've used it only couple of times and I like it but it hasn't wowed me so if you're interested in splurging on this foundation get a sample first to check if is worth the price for you, I wish I did that.
If you've been reading my blog for awhile you've already seen my review of the Too Faced 'Everything Nice' palette so I won't bore you with anymore information about it, just let me tell you once again I'm loving this gorgeousness! I love painting my nails and I've been loving BarryM nail polishes, the latest added to my collection is this beautiful, autumnal red shade called Chilli, swatches here. Lately I've been drawn to not only berry lip colours but also red lipsticks and wanted to get one of the reds from the latest L'Oreal Reds collection. I've chosen Liya's red which is beautiful blue toned red, now I'm waiting for the perfect occasion to wear it ;)
I've been reading and hearing so many good things about Korean skincare that made me want to try some of their products. One day I came across a review of Peeling Serum AHA 8% by Mizon and decided to order it. Mizon is a respected Korean brand whose some products you can find on Cult Beauty website. Along with the serum I bought Nonstop Waterful Aqua cream which contains coral water rich in minerals for deep moisturising. I've started using both products already but can't form any opinion yet as it's been not long enough to see real benefits but so far so good.
I'm not the biggest fan of celebrity perfumes nor fan of Cheryl Cole or rather Fernandez-Versini as she got married recently, but I have to admit that she's a gorgeous looking woman and I was very intrigued by her first fragrance Storm Flower. After trying it in the shop I loved it so it found the way to my home :) It's a lovely fresh but at the same time slightly warm, a bit sensual fragrance and it has become my favourite at the moment day time perfume, perfect for Autumn.
If you love makeup you know that there is never enough brushes in your collection, haha That's my case anyway! I'm lacking some eye makeup brushes so while ordering my Too Faced palette from BeautyBay I put in my basket couple of Zoeva brushes: Smokey Liner and Precise Shader. They are amazing, great quality and very affordable and I've made already a list of all the Zoeva brushes I need to buy. Another great quality and cheap brushes are from Ecotools and when I saw this set of dual-ended brushes I had to get them. They are excellent and I reach for them every day.
So this is it! All the most exciting pretty things I bought recently. Now my bank account need a breather before all the extra shopping in December ;)
Have you tried anything from my haul?
