I'm coming back today with yet another lip product, you can clearly see the lipstick addict I'm becoming :) I picked this lipstick in Asda while doing my weekly shopping just because it was on offer and I thought that it has similar formula to a lipstick I've tried before from L'Oreal, the Infallible 24H Lip Colour which I was impressed with. The shade I chose is called Make Your Move and it's a brown-y pink nude, bang on trend with the 90s!
Rimmel Provocalips is a two steps liquid lipstick with one end providing the colour for your lips and the other end thick balm that locks in the colour and adds shine and moisture to your lips.
The doe foot applicator allows for a precision application which is very important as the liquid lipstick dries up very quickly. Once you've applied the colour to your lips you need to wait around 30 seconds for it to get dry, try not to smack your lips together during this time as you'll end up with patchy looking lips. When the time's up apply the balm/gloss and you're left with slightly shiny, gorgeous looking lips.
The formula of the lipstick is not drying and after applying the balm my lips feel moisturised and comfortable for around 3 hours, then I like to reapply the balm or just a tiny bit of any lip balm that I have around. But the colour still remains the same. I'm really impressed with this lip product! This lipstick withstands eating, drinking and , yes, even kissing! I noticed that after around 8 hours the lips don't look as perfect as at the beginning but still with only minimal wear. In fact, to remove the lipstick from my lips I needed to use my creamy, oil based cleanser as the Garnier Micellar water didn't manage to do it. During the time of wearing the Provocalips my lips feel super comfortable and the colour doesn't transfer onto glasses, cups, etc.
I think it's a fabulous lip product if you want your lips to look perfect all the time and not to worry about reapplying your lipstick every now and then, especially when you're out for a dinner or anywhere you know you'll be eating, drinking and still want your lips to look great.
Rimmel Provocalips come in 8 shades from nudes to bold red and cost only £6.99 each.
I'm pretty sure I will be getting one of the red shades for those nights out when I want to look glamorous without worrying about my red lipstick staining everything my lips touch :)
