You Beauty Discovery box - September edition

You Beauty Discovery September edition

Hello!
You Beauty Discovery box (£6.95 including p&p) never disappoints! Every month I'm super excited to see the selection of products to choose my two from and every month there are at least two I really want to try. This month was no exception, there were 4 products that I wanted to choose but had to make my decision and these two made it to my box.

You Beauty Discovery September edition

Wild about Beauty Nutrilips Colour Lipstick SPF15 (full size RRP £15) - I'm really loving lipsticks lately so I was excited to try this one from a British brand co-founded by Louise Redknapp and international make-up artist Kim Jacob. The lipstick contains Wild Mango Butter and Argan Oil so it's very nourishing and moisturising, unfortunately the shade I received, called Violet, is very sheer ( as you can see from the swatch) and doesn't translate onto my lips, only leaves a sheen so it's a bit disappointing. I will be using it as a lip balm as it feels really moisturising.
Mavala Mavadry Manicure Time-save Fast Drying Nail Polish Finish (5ml RRP £6.75) - I love painting my nails and I don't like waiting ages for them to get dry so it was the perfect product for me to choose and I'm really impressed with it as it dried my nails literally in seconds and added glossiness to my nail polish! Excellent top coat!

As usual You Beauty added some extras to the box, as it is their 1st Birthday they were quite generous!

Toni&Guy Glamour Volume Plumping Whip (full size) - this was the birthday gift for all subscribers which I am very excited to try. It claims to create volume and bounce in your hair and it smells beautiful.
Two bags of tea from Crabtree&Evelyn, I didn't have any idea they make tea as well! I like fruit/herbal tea so will definitely use them.
Make up sponge.
£25 voucher for Hello Fresh, I don't think I will use this but that's just an extra treat so it's totally fine for me.

In overall, another great box and great value for money. And even though the lipstick is a rather disappointing due to its colour I'm still happy with my box.

Do you subscribe to You Beauty? What did you choose for your box?

  1. What a pity about the lipstick - it looks like it would be a lovely colour. Oh well it will still make a pretty lip gloss too :) xx

  2. I almost purchased it, but the hello fresh gift certificate puts me off. The lipstick is a lovely shade though!

    1. The lipstick looks lovely in the bullet but it's very light and sheer when swatched unfortunately. The You Beauty box is always great value for money and the Hello Fresh voucher didn't bother me because it's just some extra treat that didn't affect the beauty box itself. xx

  3. What a shame about the lipstick - it looks like it'd be pointless to apply! I really need to subscribe to this company xx

    1. It is pointless really! I will be using it around the house as a lip balm as it feels quite moisturising. You should give this box a go, Gemma! I haven't been disappointed and it costs only £6.95! xx
