I haven't written 'Empties' post for a while as I'm not sure if I want to make it a regular series on my blog but seeing empty bottles and containers lying around my bathroom and bedroom I've decided to gather them together and show you what I've used up recently. As I don't want this post to be too long I split all the 'empties' into categories and today it's a skincare bit.
My favourite make up remover has to be Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, it's very gentle on the skin yet super effective on removing all traces of my make up, at £4.99 for 400ml it's a bargain as well, I love it and repurchased this already many times. For the last few months I was using NSPA Revitalising Vitamin Toning Mist as my morning tonner and I loved it, sadly I think it has been discontinued as I can't find it any more in shops. La Roche - Posay Thermal Spring Water is such a great mist that I loved using during Summer but always have another bottle ready to use it any time my skin needs refreshing or soothing, you can read here why I love those two mists.
Clayspray Glow Red Clay with Cacao mask ( reviewed here) was an awesome mask which was leaving my skin clean, smooth and glowing. I'd love to repurchase it some time in the future and in the meantime I will be trying out other clay masks, so many products so little time :)
Effaclar K by La Roche - Posay is my holy grail moisturiser which keeps my skin in good condition. After using it for 4 months I decided to try something different but I haven't found anything as good and after around 3 weeks of not using Effaclar K I can see my skin is getting clogged up and not as clear. I need it back in my life ASAP.
Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum ( reviewed here) is a fantastic serum for sensitive skin, it helped my skin stay hydrated and supple and I will definitely repurchase it in the future after my current serums have finished.
Both of those cleanser I got as 'freebies' from magazine and while they're only samples I managed to use each of them for around week and got to find out if I like it or not. Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm really impressed me (read here) and I will definitely purchase a full size once my current cleanser has finished. I was very excited to try the REN offering as I read so many good things about REN products but this Hot Cloth Cleanser wasn't anything special to me, not any better than my NSPA Hot Cloth Cleanser which is like 3 times cheaper than the REN one. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, it was nice, it's just not worth the price tag in my opinion.
Urban Veda Purifying Day Cream, this generous sample lasted me around 10 days and while it's not long enough to see the real benefits of this moisturiser it felt really nice and refreshing on my skin and definitely help my face stay matte for longer. I'm considering buying this in full size.
Benefit It's Potent eye cream, this was a second sample of this eye cream and each of them was enough for 3 weeks of using it every day so I did get a good feel of this eye cream and I really like it. It's very moisturising but light enough to use it in the morning before make up. I don't think I will be buying this in full size as I want to try different eye creams, maybe more nourishing and with anti-wrinkles properties but if you're younger than me and think of getting this Benefit offering I highly recommend it.
Egyptian Magic All Purpose Cream, it was a tiny 3ml sample but I totally fall in love with this cream and definitely need to get the full size of it. It's a natural moisturiser made with only 6 ingredients: Olive Oil, Beeswax, Honey, Bee Polen, Royal Jelly extract and Propolis. It has a solid consistency that melts into the oil while warming it between fingers, it nourishes the skin leaving it soft and supple. It feels quite greasy and I would never use it in the morning but as a special treatment at night I loved it. My skin in the morning was soft, hydrated and just looking healthier.
So these are the skincare products I used up lately. Have you tried any of them?
