I love painting my nails and if you are regular reader of my blog you know that nearly every week I have a post "What's on my nails?". But because I am a busy mummy normally I do my manicure only during weekend and tend to post my nail-post around Monday or Tuesday so decided to rename my posts to Manicure Monday and make it a regular feature on my blog.
Today I'm showing you this beautiful pastel lilac Ciate polish in Sugar Plum and Caviar Pearls in Ice Queen which I've got as a freebie with the latest issue of Marie Claire.
The formula of Ciate nail polish is quite thin so you need to apply at least 2 coats to your nails for even look but preferably 3 coats for full opacity. It dries up relatively quick and the wide brush makes the application quick and easy. To decorate your nails with the Caviar pearls you have to sprinkle them over your freshly painted, still wet, nail. Smooth and push them slightly with your finger tip and wait till the polish is dry. Then I applied a top coat to protect them from falling down. There will be some wastage of the Pearls so if you want to avoid it I recommend to use them over a clean plastic bowl from which you can collect them back to the bottle.
I love the shade Sugar Plum, it's a perfect pastel for Summer and the Ice Queen Pearls complement it perfectly. The accent nail looks very pretty, adds a bit of uniqueness to your manicure and it's like a subtle jewellery on your fingers.
Have you got a copy of Marie Claire with mini Ciate? If so which shade did you choose?
