Love Me Beauty - June Edition

Love Me Beauty June 2014
Hello!
Here comes the time of the month for my Love Me Beauty box. June Edition had, as usual, three Menus to choose from, they differ only slightly but the one that was the most attractive for me was Menu 1.
This month, as opposite to last month Love Me Beauty focused on beauty products which I was happy about although there weren't really very exciting ones.
Let me show you what I've got in my box.

Love Me Beauty June 2014

There was unexpected extra item in form of £10 voucher for Flavourly which is a monthly subscription box of  gourmet snacks, delivered to your door. I'm not really excited about this as I prefer to buy food I know I like but maybe just out of curiosity I will order the box once taking the advantage of the voucher.
Urban Veda Purifying Day Cream, 10ml sample worth £3, I've never tried anything from this brand but read lots of good things, so I am excited to try this cream as my skin is oily with large pores so the cream sounds perfect for me.
NYX Cosmetics Nail Polish in Pink on Steroid, full size RRP £3, it's a neon pink shade and I don't own anything this bright so I'm glad to have it as it's perfect for Summer. I haven't tried anything from NYX and I'm intrigued what's the formula like of this nail polish. You can expect some swatches of it very soon:)
Model Co Shine Ultra Lip Gloss in 'Fairy Floss', full size RRP £12, I have one of those lip glosses, just in slightly different shade and I quite like it and use it frequently on its own or on top of some nude lipstick to add some gloss to my lips. The formula of this lip gloss is quite moisturising and not overly sticky, also it lasts well on lips and smells of strawberries.
Beauty UK Eye Shadow Palette in 'Earth Child', full size £3.99, this product got me quite excited when I saw it on the Menu as I love getting new eye shadow palettes and even though this one is a budget brand easily found in Superdrug I've never tried anything from it. Unfortunately the quality is not there, as you can see in the picture above the eye shadows are very chalky and not very pigmented. I doubt very much I will use this palette. There are much better quality palettes from budget brands, like MUA or Makeup Revolution (read my review here and here).
Montagne Jeunesse Brazilian Mud Fabric Masque, full size - single use RRP £1, I love using face mask and used to buy many different ones from Montagne Jeunesse as they are good quality and so affordable so will definitely use this one during my pamper evening.
There was also an extra product in my box as a little reward for being subscribed for another 3 months and it's Jelly Pong Pong 2in1 Eyeliner &Shadow in this rich chocolate brown shade, full size RRP £10.50. I don't actually own any brown eyeliners so it's a nice addition to my make up stash.

Overall this month's Love Me Beauty box was a good one, with value of £23 excluding the extra bits in my box, so definitely worth its price, £10 + £2.95p&p, but it didn't vowed me as some previous boxes I received.

  1. I chose this one because I liked the look of the palette. I haven't opened it yet - looks disappointing :(

I got a more coral toned nail polish called Coral Sensation which I love but I love yours too now! haha

    1. The palette is really disappointing in my opinion. I'm not sure if I like this neon pink on my finger nails but definitely is perfect for my toe nails:) xx

  2. I chose this menu mainly for the ModelCo lip gloss as I have a few of shades already and really like them. I like Urban Veda and Montagne Jeunesse but the rest of the box is a bit disappointing. My nail polish is a really sheer, pearlescent light pink (your colour looks much nicer) and I haven't really seen one favourable review of the BeautyUK palette. It's a shame as I used to champion Love Me Beauty for their value and consistency (plus they introducd me to new, niche brands) but with this box they seem to have gone quite high street and, whilst that's not necessarily an issue if the quality's there, I want beauty boxes to discover new brands!

    1. Agree with you, I used to be super excited with Love Me Beauty but now I feel like it's not as good anymore. I might give it one more month to see if it changes for better again, if not I'm thinking I will cancel my subscription. xx

  4. I was so disappointed in this box, I never bothered to even purchase it. I am losing faith in LMB. Beauty UK palettes are full on dreadful, and it seems like they threw in the £10 gift certificate to force the total amount higher. Seriously though, how many people would use it? I know I wouldn't. Shame really.

    1. Yes, Love Me Beauty is going down the hill, it's a shame as I love the idea of being able to choose the samples that suit you best.

  5. I was thinking about leaving Glossybox and changing to LMB but after seeing this months choices I am not so sure! Glossybox was going seriously downhill but have picked it up this month, probably the best box I have ever got!

  6. I was kind of excited when I saw the eyeshadow palettes because I actually love the colors of it and might just want to buy it but then when I see the swatches, I was not expecting that! the quality looks awful.

    1. It really is a very poor quality palette, not worth even £4!

  7. I have a mascara from models co, it's not very good but the fact that their products have mirrors on the sides is just so handy! x
