April has gone so fast I'm absolutely shocked but also super excited as we are well into warmer months, Summer is around the corner and hopefully the sun will be shining a lot!
I decided to start this very popular amongst bloggers and vloggers series of month favourites as I really like reading about most loved products. By the end of every month I will be choosing 5 products which were my most favourite of that month.
So here's mine skincare and make up items I've been loving and reaching for more often than for others in April.
Firstly, two skincare products that improved noticeably my skin condition:
Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum 30ml(*), RRP £17, (full review here), I use it after cleansing and toning my face and it leaves my skin supple, soft and super hydrated. It's targeted at sensitive skin and it has soothing properties and it does feel amazing applying it to my face after long day wearing different products. I like it a lot!
La Roche - Posay Effaclar K 30 ml, RRP £14.50 , (full review here), this is my holy grail moisturiser, it works beautifully for my skin! My main skin concern - large, congested pores is no longer such a big problem as this little hero is helping my skin look its best. I love it!
Next is my newly discovered lip balm:
Bakewell Soap Company, Multi-Purpose Pocket Balm in 'My Chang', 25g, RRP £4.95, I received this little balm in February Love Me Beauty box and was using it on my hands and cuticles at night. But since I run out of my old favourite Vaseline for my lips and used it instead I fell in love how it keeps my lips soft and moisturised. It made the old Vaseline redundant and I've been loving it as my lip balm! It contains a blend of vitamins A, C, E, essential fatty acid Omega 3, soothing Sweet Almond Oil Chamomile extract and smells lovely citrusy.
Next up are some make up products which I've been enjoying lately a lot:
Lord & Berry Intensity Satin Lipstick in Peach Gleam, RRP £12, it's a lovely peachy nude shade with satin finish, perfect for Spring and Summer. The lipstick feels moisturising and last well on my lips as well, it's enriched with macadamia oil and water lily extracts. Even though I'm not really a lipstick person, prefer lip glosses, I've been reaching for this Lord & Berry one regularly lately as it makes a perfect nude duo with MODELco Shine Ultra Lip Gloss in Berry Pink, RRP £12, which is a light pink shade, quite sheer on its own but when applied on top of the lipstick it adds a hint of pink and lovely gloss. It's not very sticky and smells of strawberries. This duo has been on my lips a lot!
Shining Star Shimmer Brick in Mariah Shimmer, RRP£6.49, now only £3.25, by Famous X Cosmetics, (review here), it's a gorgeous pink toned highlighter. I wasn't really a big fan of highlighters as they made my oily skin look like a glitter ball. But since changing my skincare routine my face doesn't get as greasy and my pores look smaller so I started reaching for this shimmer brick and using tiny bit of the lightest shades on the top of my cheekbones or swirling a brush in all the shades and applying on top of my blush to give me some healthy looking glow. I love it!
So there it is! My 5 (I know, it's 6 products but the lipstick and lipgloss count as 1 as I'm using them together) April favourite beauty items.
