Makeup Revolution London - getting to know the brand

 Hello!
Makeup Revolution is a new, budget friendly, British brand with a wide selection of makeup products with prices starting at £1. Think of a new MUA-like brand and they're also stocked up in Superdrug.

Few weeks after finding out about it I placed my first order and bought a few items to try  and see if they live up to the hype surrounding the new brand. I already love their eyeshadow palette Iconic 3 which I reviewed here. And today I am going to share with you my thoughts on another products.

Makeup Revolution Cream Blush in Rose Cream, 3.4g, RRP £1.50 - it's a creamy, matte, well pigmented coral pink blush which blends beautifully and stays on my oily skin for around 5 hours before I need to touch it up. I've been using it for the last week and I like it a lot as it gives me just a healthy rosy flush to my cheeks with a tiny bit of glow. It's my first ever cream blush as I always was afraid that this kind of product is not suitable for oily skin but I was totally wrong and will be buying other shades from this range.

Makeup Revolution The One Concealer in Medium shade, RRP £3 - I am always looking for a new better concealer to hide my dark under eye circles and broken capillaries on my face and I had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately it did disappointed me a bit as the coverage it gives is very light and it doesn't cover the redness on my face. It hides my dark circles only lightly but gives a nice brightening effect to my skin which I like so I will be using it on days when I don't need or want much coverage. The outer layer of the concealer is kind of waxy and it feels very hydrating on the skin. The One concealer stays in place for about 6 hours but I found it does crease a bit and gathers in fine lines if I layer it up too much for better coverage.

Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipstick in Mystify, RRP £1 - it's a creamy, super pigmented, pink coral shade lipstick with satin finish. It applies smoothly and stays on the lips for 2, 3 hours without eating or drinking, if you do so you need to touch it up afterwards. This lipstick is amazing quality for the price and the shade is perfect for Spring/Summer. I'm loving it! There are 30 shades with different finishes to choose from so everyone can find something suitable.

Makeup Revolution Nail Polish in Never Enough (muted mauve pink) and Adore (lilac), RRP £1 each - I love these two shades on my nails, they complement each other and are very feminine and Summery. The formula of these polishes is quite thick, rather difficult to apply and the first coats are very streaky so I needed 3 thin layers to get an opaque effect. My nails started chipping after 2 days so the lasting power is pretty average but it happens to me even with more expensive nail polishes so not major disappointment here. There are 40 different shades so you can collect easily most of them, if not all, for such a small price.

Overall, I am really impressed with this new makeup brand and even though there are some hits and misses is so worth trying the products as they are very affordable and on par with other, more expensive, drugstore beauty items. I know for sure I will be placing another order soon to try more things.

Have you bought anything from Makeup Revolution? What do you think of their products?

Kind regards
Dagmara
