My favourite face masks and treatments

Hello!
I'm a big fan of any kind of masks and treatments that promise to leave my skin smooth, radiant , unclog and minimise my pores. With my oily skin, large, congested pores and uneven skin tone I'm always on the lookout for products to improve my skin appearance. In the last couple of months my skin started to look its best and I'm very happy with my skincare routine so I wanted to share with you the extra treatments I use regularly and I think they keep my skin looking clear and healthy.

BeautyLab GlycoWash, RRP £32 for 200ml, this is a 100ml bottle which I got in March You Beauty box. This face wash contains 5% Glycolic Acid along with Salicylic Acid, pomegranate enzymes, soothing willow bark and lavender. It cleanses the skin, unclogs pores and refines the skin surface by gently exfoliating. I use this wash as my morning cleanser up to 3 times a week as recommended. It's a clear gel, with slightly citrusy scent, contained in a bottle with a pump protected by a plastic collar which prevents from accidentally pumping the product out. The pump dispenses just the perfect amount of product for one wash.
After working the gel into lather I apply it to my face and massage it in circular motions for about 2 minutes and then rinse it with a tepid water and follow with the rest of my skincare products. During using it you don't feel any tingling sensations like you may expect it from product containing acids. The GlycoWash leaves my skin super soft and immediately my pores are clean and looking smaller. I love it and it makes a real difference to my skin's appearance. If your skin is oily, congested, uneven I highly recommend this wash as a weekly special treatment. It's quite pricey but the whole bottle will last for ages as the one I have is probably only half empty and I've been using it 2, 3 times every week for the last 2 months.

Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask Shine Away, 100ml, RRP £6.99, I love clay masks, they are perfect for oily skin at removing impurities, minimising the appearance of pores and regulating sebum secretion. The Botanics Ionic Clay Mask contains oceanic clay which exhibits a negative electrical charge to help to draw out impurities from your pores, also it contains willowbark, a natural source of salicylic acid which helps to refine skin texture. The mask comes in a squeezy tube and it has thinner consistency than you might expect from a clay mask but this makes it easier for even application. Be sure to shake it well before squeezing the product out as it might be quite runny.
I apply this mask 1, 2 times a week, after cleansing my face and leave it for 15, 20 minutes until it dries up completely. It does tighten you skin a bit but I like it as it feels like it tightens my pores which is what I want. After the time is up I remove it with warm water, it's easy to do so and you don't need to drag your skin like it might happens with some other clay masks. My skin is left smooth, refined and my pores are looking definitely smaller. Also it helps to clear out any breakouts I might have. I highly recommend this mask to anyone looking for a clay mask budget friendly.

Clayspray Glow Red Clay With Cacao, 30ml, RRP £13.50, another clay mask, this time with added Cacao seed powder with antioxidant and nourishing properties.
"Iron mineral rich clay mask smooths, rejuvenates, giving  affirming effect."
Clayspray masks are made with clay from various sites that are historically renowned for their therapeutic properties. The brand proud themselves on using "the most luxurious clay in the world". I got this mask in April You Beauty box and I couldn't be more excited to try it. The mask comes in an aerosol-like container with a pump dispensing the product. You have to be very careful while pressing the pump as it tends to squirt too much product. The mask looks like liquid chocolate and initially smells like it too, then it changes to slightly unpleasant scent which luckily fades quickly. I leave it for around 15 minutes and then remove it with warm water. It doesn't tingle nor sting my face and it doesn't it dry it up. The mask leaves my skin super soft, pores tightened and gives me healthy glow. After the first use I was absolutely amazed how it gave my skin a beautiful glow, I never experienced this before after a home treatment. I'm a bit in love with this Clayspray Glow mask and will definitely repurchase it when it's finished.

So these are my favourite masks, to keep my skin clean and smooth, which I use every other day, one at the time, and my skin loves it.

Have you used any of the mentioned products? What's your favourite masks?

Kind regards
Dagmara

    1. It is a great clay mask, you should try it, it's been compared to the Origins Clear Improvement and while I haven't tried the latter I definitely recommend The Botanics one. Thanks for stopping by!
