Bourjois Blushes always attract me with their cute round packaging with a little magnet to secure the closure of the little pot, mirror inside the compact and the little brush which is actually not bad if you need to touch up your blush during the day and the good selection of different shades. Even though, prior to this one I own only one more blush from Bourjois. While browsing in Boots during one of my, way too many, visits to this shop I spotted an unusually looking Little Round Pot blush on Bourjois stand and decided to swatched it. The moment I did it I fall in love with this beautiful blush!
The shade I've chosen is called Golden Rose and that's what it is: muted pink with golden shimmer. There is no glitter in it, don't worry, just this golden tiny particles which give your cheeks beautiful sheen depending how the light hits your skin. If you are familiar with NARS Orgasm blush (show me who isn't) you can immediately spot the similarity between the two.
Below are pictures of the swatch of Golden Rose blush and I tried to show you how it looks from different angles, depending on the light.
The picture in the right corner shows the swatch blended and as you can see the Bourjois blush Rose d'Or gives a very subtle hint of pink to your skin together with golden shimmer so it doubles as a highlighter.
The pigmentation of this blush is very good, the formula is soft and easy to blend and stays on my oily skin for about 5 hours. Even though it's a shimmering product it doesn't accentuate my large pores and doesn't sit in them. Just apply sparingly as you don't want to over do it with the shimmer. You can also apply it on top of another matte blush just to add a bit of golden sheen to it.
I'm absolutely loving this shade and it's just perfect for any special occasion when you want to look more glamorous. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to NARS Orgasm I highly recommend you to try the Bourjois blush Golden Rose as it's very affordable at £7.99. And anyone who likes shimmery blushes should have this one in their collection.
