Firstly, excuse, please, the state of the cream's tube but I've been using it religiously for the last month and unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of it before.
Effaclar K is a brother of the famous Effaclar Duo from the Effaclar range by La Roche - Posay. When Escentual had an offer on French Pharmacy throughout March I decided it was the perfect time to get some products I wanted to try.
I read so many great reviews of Effaclar Duo that I was very tempted to get it but at the end I decided against it as this product is aimed at acne prone skin and that's not me. Of course I get occasional break out or two but in general my skin is not spotty.
My main concerns are enlarged, clogged pores, uneven skin tone, oiliness.
After doing my research I chose to buy the Effaclar K as it claims what I exactly want from my skincare.
"The anti-imperfection moisturiser is especially formulated for those who experience repeated pore-clogging resulting in an uneven skin texture.
Microexfoliant LHA - a keratolytic agent - and retinol Linoleate perform an intense, fine and targeted micro-exfoliation which unclogs pores and transforms the surface of the skin."
We all bought many products just because their claims were amazing only to be left disappointed after using it. But let me tell you, this cream didn't disappoint! It does everything what it says on the tin. I'm absolutely happy with Effaclar K being part of my skincare routine.
The cream is contained in a metallic tube, which doesn't look very pretty while getting empty, but you can squeeze out the last tiny bit of product, with a nozzle at the end allowing dispensing exactly the amount you want. The consistency is of a light moisturiser and a little goes a long way. There is noticeable, fresh scent that reminds me lily of the valley which I love, the flowers and the scent.
I use Effaclar K every evening after cleansing my face and applying my hydrating serum. It absorbs very quickly, leaving my skin super soft and plump.
I've been using this moisturiser for nearly a month and I can honestly say that my skin never looked better.
It's less congested, smoother, pores look clearer and a bit smaller and it's not as oily. In the morning my face doesn't fell greasy like it used to, my make up stays in place for longer and I don't look shiny like before. If I get a spot it clears up faster.
I've been making some changes to my skincare routine and probably everything helps but since adding Effaclar K as my evening cream the difference in my skin is amazing.
I highly recommend this moisturiser to anyone with oily, imperfection-prone skin.
Have you tried Effaclar K?
