Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 palette

Hello!
Makeup Revolution is a new, very affordable British brand with a big range of make up products from lipsticks to nail polishes, prices start at £1.

Ever since I found out about this brand from the lovely Laura's blog I couldn't wait to get some of their products, especially the beautiful eyeshadow palette Iconic 3, RRP £4.

It's a mix of 12 pinky, taupe toned shimmers, glitters and matte eyeshadows.
The Iconic 3 palette has been compared to the Urban Decay Naked 3 and it's a pretty good dupe of it. Even though I don't own Naked 3 but I've seen and read already a few reviews with comparison of these two palettes and the shades are very similar. You can check a great review on Laura's blog here.

I've been wanting to get the Naked 3 palette since its release on December last year but haven't got around to buy it as at nearly £40 is pretty expensive. I love all the pink, mauve, taupe tones for eyeshadows. So when I found out about the Iconic 3 palette being so close to Naked 3 I could not resist buying it, especially at £4!

Here are the swatches of the Iconic 3 eyeshadow palette
If you are into pinky toned eyeshadows you' d love this palette. The shades are beautiful, there are three mattes, and the rest is satin or shimmer finish with the last shade on the right being glittery with some pink toned particles. The pigmentation is good, to achieve the intensity of above swatches I applied two thin layers of eyeshadow to my arm. The eyeshadows are very soft, easy to blend and they last on my eyes, with eyeshadow primer, all day without fading or creasing which is amazing for such a low price product. There is some fallout with the darker shades and the mattes but nothing you can't work with it.
Overall, great quality eyeshadow palette and very affordable.

The day I received the palette I started using it immediately and this is the first look I created.
It's a very simple, delicate, day time look achieved by sweeping the matte, very pale pink shade nr1 (counting from palette's left side to the right) all over my lid up to the brow bone, then applying on the lid shade nr3, satin peachy pink, blending into the crease matte shade nr7, pinky taupe and darkening the outer corner of my eye with satin shade nr9, which I applied also on my lower lid.

I've been loving this palette so you can expect some more #FOTD posts with different looks. I'm very tempted to get more of Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palettes as they have 14 different ones, only £4 each.

Have you tried this brand yet? Do you like the look of Iconic 3?

Kind regards
Dagmara
