After reading so many good reviews about Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer I was very curious about the foundation from the same line. So on one of my trips to Boots I grabbed it while it was on offer for £3.99, here.
The packaging is a nice, matte glass bottle with a pump to dispense the foundation which looks definitely more expensive than it is and of course it's easier and more hygienic to use.
The shade I'm using is Ivory 2 and it matches my skin quite well. Unfortunately there are only 6 shades to choose from so it will be difficult to match every skin tone.
Collection states that this foundation gives you fresh appearance for up to 16 hours, flawless coverage, it's anti-transfer, oil free and it has SPF 20.
I've been using this foundation for over a month now and I really like it. The formula is quite thick and it gives me good coverage, I'd say medium to full, and leaves my skin with semi matte finish. It sets fast so you need to blend it quickly, I do it with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.
I found that the best is to apply one thin layer otherwise it looks cakey.
It has tendency to cling to dry patches so it might not be the best for drier skins.
The staying power is not as good as it promises, on my skin it lasts about 4, 5 hours and after that, ideally, I should retouch it, especially on my nose and chin.
Unfortunately it doesn't stop my face from getting shiny and after 2, 3 hours I need to use some blotting papers and powder it.
It's not the perfect foundation but I like the coverage and the finish it gives me and for the price £5.99 here is worth trying.
